COUSINS VINYL
WISHES YOU A SCARY

Oh no. The Tigers lost.
It can’t be.
We are all sad here in Michigan…The Tigers blew their chance, spoiled our hopes and dreams. The weather has been cold, rainy, and gloomy every day for the past three weeks. Winter is around the corner. Our economy sucks. We are all doomed.
What do we do?
Well, maybe I’m overreacting. Lemme throw on some Marvin Holmes, listen to some funky upbeat music.
The Tigs had an awesome season. The sun’ll come out eventually. Winter’s not that bad. The economy is overrated. We’ve still got the Pistons starting the season, Michigan vs Ohio State, Halloween parties tonight, the Lions…
Ahh, Lions. I forgot about you guys.
We don’t even want to hang with you on Sundays anymore. We’d rather fix the damn toilet.
The music isn’t working anymore. The feeling is back.
I take the record off.
Goddamn those Tigers! I can’t believe they lost! Get rid of Inge. What happened to Polanco and Granderson? And how can Verlander throw a pitch an inch of where he wants it every time, but CAN”T MAKE A SIMPLE THROW TO THIRD BASE???
How can the Tigers be so good up to the World Series and then all of a sudden play like a scared high school team?
Ahh, Tigers, we still love you. Hats off to a great season. We’ll just have to remember Maggs’ homerun. You’ll get ‘em next years boys.
But still, it is a sad today in Michigan.
It is a quick and easy survey to fill out, If you are intersted in getting one check it out http://www.sternfannetwork.com/survey/index.php?referid=142798
OK - the last time I wrote about the Tigers was when they got beat by the Yankees in the first game of the playoffs. I wrote something like, C’mon Tigers - you can do it! Beat those Yankees. And lo an behold, they did and didn’t lose another game til they got to the series. And we did guarentee a World Series victory way back in July.
Unfortunatly, as you may know, they lost the opening game last night to the Cards. I promised myself I wouldn’t mention them again in this blog unless they lost - the reason being that it might bring bad luck. Kind of like not talking to a pitcher or mentioning anything if he’s got a no-hitter going. But, sensing they need another rally cry, here it is. I am guessing that by doing this, I can somehow contribute to their World Series Victory, dutifully carrying out this task early Sunday morning following this seemingly impossible loss to the Cardinals last night.
I am also going to drink a beer out of my blue Tigers glass tonight when the game is on, which should also contribute to a win. During game 4 of ALCS, the Tigers were down and I got out the blue glass, remembering that I hadn’t drank out of it, and sure enough, they tie it up and then, of course, Maggs hits it out to win it - watch the video here: www.myspace.com/cousinsvinyl.
Last night, my blue glass was dirty, and I thought about washing it, but instead I opted for the clean clear Tigers glass that was in the freezer, nice and frosted. I thought, c’mon Geoff, you really think that this is going to make a difference? You’re going to actually take time to wash the blue Tigers glass, then drink out of it when you can just use the clear Tigers one that’s already clean and frosted?
Well, I learned my lesson last night. The Tigers are depending on me, and I must do my part. You better believe that the lucky blue glass is in the freezer right now, just waiting for me later tonight. And I’ll be tipping that same glass in celebration when the Tigers bring home the championship!
So, I urge all of you faithful readers out there (both of you), to do your part tonight as the Tigs square up with the Cards for a critical, almost must-win, Game 2.
C’mon now, let’s go! EAT ‘EM UP TIGERS, EAT ‘EM UP!

The site claims to have 1800 80’s music videos. It is definately top notch. Check it out here. http://www.1500videos.com/
Verlander is on the mound tonight as the Tigers look to even the series against the mighty Yankees and all their bought talent.
C’mon Tigers! Let’s do it now!
The Detroit Free Press had a great article this morning about the 40th anniversry of the first show at the Grande by the MC5. Detroit is notorious for its lack of saving it’s history. Soon the Grande will be raised for a church. In a city that gave so much to music there is no decent museum to recognize it’s accomplisments. Maybe one day we can hav a place where music fans can go to relive the history. Then again is Rock and Roll something that should be put into storage and sit behind glass?
