Yeah, Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry - that's good suggestions. Pressure Drop is one of my all time favorite songs, although I like Toots and The Maytals live version. I do have Rufus Thomas Walkin' The Dog...that would be a good one. I also have Sam and Dave Soul Man on Stax that Ella would probably like as well. I used to have Tighten Up but I sold it and Justin ended up with it because the person forgot to pay and it was coming out of Justin's pocket anyway. I wish I would have kept it but I can say that about a lot of albums that we've had to sell over the years....Yeah, the Stones would be good too - she needs some good rock n roll thrown in there. Besides that she's liked 50s R&B female singers and when I want her to really wake up and get her moving I've been playing ska like Desmond Dekker and also early Wailers.

Yeah, the House of Blue Lights stings...a lot. Been looking for that record for like 5 years. You should get her acquainted w/ the classics. Try Bo Diddley, which has some some nursery rhyme qualities to it. Chuck Berry. The Stones. The Clash's version of Pressure Drop. I want to have a kid just so it can dance naked to this song. A buddy I used to work with said one of his earliest memories was his parents playing Archie Bell's Tighten Up and him going nuts. Been also listening to a lot of Stax lately...you've got Rufus Thomas's Walkin' The Dog right?

I'm jealous of that Don Covay too. Is it an original Atlantic pressing? How much was it?
