oh cool....I wonder how soon this will go through and we can order? I'd like to have NBA in time for the playoffs. I'm sure you'd like to get MLB asap...I wonder how much more it will be? Said less than both combined, so I'm guessing it will be around 20 bucks....we need to post the best from each or give our recomendations

looking closer at the site it looks like getting what they call "the best" of both will cost more, but keeping what you have will not go up

All of the dertractors come from the NAB which is a front special interest for the Clear Channels of the world. This merger took over a year to happen Exxon and Mobil merged in way less time. http://www.siriusmerger.com/ is a good said that dispels a lot of concerns about pricing

also looks like getting FCC approval should be a given; they've never denied after first getting passed by the US Justice.

There are some critics out there still...I just hope the price doesn't go up too much, or force me to get the "upper tier" package for more money. If anything the highest package should be the same, and a lesser be less than what it is now.

This is definatly a good thing for the consumer because I believe all of the personality driven channels will stay. The new company will operate much more efficiently and probably sign even more names to head up some channels. I know the leadership behind Sirius, wich will be the head of the new company, believes that the medium has to be exclusive personality driven and I think this is really the only thing satelite radio has to offer over its competition. Any Joe Schmo can put together a play list, but if you have David Johansen picking the tunes it is way more exciting. This decision should have happened long before now but at least it happened before baseball season!
