Wow - looks like Mayer Hawthorne, my high school friend who I wrote about a few posts back, is seriously hitting it big. John Mayer even went so far as to call it the album of the year. Here is the video for his track, “Just Ain’t Gonna Work Out”, released by Stones Throw Records on a heart shaped record.

Also - Mayer Hawthorne and The County is playing at the Blind Pig on September 26th. I’m definately going - this will be so old school because he used to spin there as Athletic Mic League’s DJ.

This is also crazy, he sings Just Ain’t Gonna Work Out with The Roots!
