I found this song buried on a Lucky Eleven b-side, and I think it’s the only song I’ve heard by Terry Knight and The Pack that I’ve liked. Most of the songs they put out are too poppy and boring and not original. If you want to hear an all out critical bashing, check out what Allmusic had to say about Knight. But he was cool in that he worked as a DJ for CKLW and also formed Grand Funk Railroad and served as manager, although they kicked him out after a few years.
Historically, Terry Knight has a well-deserved place in Michigan’s music history, and this song alone is good enough to get Knight a place in my 45 box.
