The purpose of this blog is to shed light on interesting records, forgotten artists, historical facts, and happenings around Michigan and beyond, as well as to share our own love of record collecting and highlight records for sale in our store.
All audio clips featured on this site are posted strictly for educational purposes. Audio clips posted on this site are now streamed, and are for listening purposes only. They are not meant to be distributed in any way. Audio clips that are posted are done so with poor quality and/or with incomplete samples of the song. Almost all of our audio clips are from long out of print recordings, and are mostly from obscure artists who most likely wouldn’t mind a little promotion. Cousins Vinyl does not profit in any way from providing these audio clips. We enjoy posting them and other people enjoy listening to them and it teaches others about music. We want to preserve and remember our important music history. We post audio clips based on the fair use laws, which allows copywritten material to be published without consent provided that it is done for review or for informational purposes. If you are the owner of any audio samples we provide on this site, and you want them taken down, contact us and we will take them down immediatly.
Our goal on this site is to connect readers with other collectors, music historians, musicians, and music enthusiasts. All readers are encouraged to share stories, memories, and opinions. If a blog entry inspires you, just click on comments, leave your name (or a made up name) and write away.
